About the Committee

The Research and Technology Committee works to represent member interests in the areas of research and technological advances that affect the horticulture industry. The Chair of the Committee sits on the Canadian Agri-Food Research Council, as does a second CHC representative from the Canadian greenhouse industry.
The Committee meets once a year in March at the Annual General Meeting to deal with a wide range of business including research funding, biotechnology, food irradiation, and other concerns of mutual interest.
