CHC offers our members a seat at the table where our industry’s future is being decided.
CHC is well known to government and affiliated industry as the representative for over 20,000 Canadian producers of horticulture crops.
CHC is often the first organization approached when broad-based consultation with the national industry or specific commodity sectors is required.
Members and staff of the CHC have been responsible for spearheading important projects, such as the On-Farm Food Safety (OFFS) Program, Integrated Fruit Production (IFP), Bacterial Ring Rot Insurance Feasibility Study, creation of an Export Development Strategy for potatoes, a benchmarking study of Canadian potatoes against competitors in countries of interest, and more.
