The Science Advisory Committee (SAC) was established by resolution at the 2009 Annual General Meeting. Its goal is to facilitate identification of sector opportunities in the areas of innovation and research which will improve the profitability and competitive position of Canada’s horticultural sector.
The role of the SAC is to invite input and provide insights into research, science quality and direction for horticulture in Canada. The SAC will oversee the development and implementation of a business plan and associated funding proposals to achieve the desired results.
