The Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC) congratulates Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau on her recent appointment as Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. CHC looks forward to working with the Minister and her staff on issues of great importance to Canadian fruit and vegetable growers, including crop protection, access to labour, business risk management, taxation, international trade, the environment and climate change, and food safety and industry standards, among many others.

“CHC values its strong relationship with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada,” says Rebecca Lee, CHC Executive Director. “We have collaborated on many important initiatives over the years and I’m personally looking forward to working with Minister Bibeau and her office on many more successes to come.”

CHC would also like to thank Minister MacAulay for his dedication and support of the fresh fruit and vegetable sector while Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. We wish him the greatest success in his new role as Minister of Veterans Affairs.
